Half-way down her fist ever USA tour, Johanna & The Dusty Floor is sharing her video for her stunning Kate Bush cover “Cloudbusting” HERE. Shot in Paris while working on her next record, the black and white video perfectly captures the moody romantic atmosphere of the Parisian streets and the ever-present Seine. Johanna was invited to perform at the Parisian launch party from Adarsha Benjamin and James Franco’s AUTRE Magazine at Le Carmen last month. See the gorgeous photos from the launch HERE.

Following the release of Johanna and The Dusty Floor’s debut record Northern Lights on Red Valise, Johanna and the Dusty Floor headed out on a U.S. tour with Brooklyn songwriter Bird Call. Hitting Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and back to New York, the tour marks the first U.S. tour for the Brooklyn songwriter. In honor of her first tour, Johanna made her track “Witch Shoes” available for free download. Born in Australia and criss-crossing the globe before ultimately settling down in New York City, Johanna’s spent the last few years writing elegant pop songs that are perfectly paired with her sunny vocals. Studying jazz at the Australian Institute of Music, Johanna’s wide-ranging vocals and lush piano arrangements drift effortlessly atop scenes dealing with distress, demise, and passionate lust. And listening to Northern Lights, it’s easy to hear how Johanna has already earned comparisons Kate Bush and St. Vincent.
