MIA BERRIN // Publicist

Counterfeit Madison is Nigerian-American rock pianist and singer Sharon Udoh, along with bassist Adam Hardy and drummer Seth Daily. They formed in late 2014 and have been creating together ever since.

Their newest album, Opposable Thumbs, was released on Anyway Records in November 2017 via Revolver USA/ and received favorable reviews in Columbus Alive, 614, Stereogum, MXDWN, and Afropunk. The album includes wild and reckless moments resembling demonic deliverances, poignant songwriting, and even tender ballads, seemingly abandoning genre altogether. Their live presentation is no different—it truly is magnetic, raucous, and unforgettable.

They have played Nelsonville Music Festival (2017, 2018), a sold-out vinyl release show at the Wexner Center for the Arts (November 2017), Daytrotter (April 2018), and Mission Creek Festival (April 2018), and have shared stages with Half Waif, Busman’s Holiday, Diet Cig, Japanese Breakfast, Frankie Cosmos, and Tune-Yards. They are currently finishing up their third full-length album, Knucklehead and are touring with Mal Blum in the summer of 2019.
