Revered for her bold sense of style, Gigi Rowe is an emerging Miami-based pop artist with a remarkable aptitude for transforming the classic dance-pop genre that inspires her. In June 2016, a snippet of her debut single “Run The Night” was included in a behind-the-scenes clip of dancer auditions for Ubisoft’s Just Dance 2017. The track was also selected to feature in the global video game franchise and sees her appear alongside massive hits from artists such as Sia, Major Lazer, Justin Bieber, and more.
Just Dance has sold over 60 million units and boasts over 80 million users to date. Regarding their collaboration with Gigi Rowe, Didier Lord (Worldwide Music Director at Ubisoft) comments, “When I listened to the demo of ‘Run the Night,’ I knew that it was a huge hit and a perfect fit for Just Dance. Introducing a brand new artist like Gigi Rowe through the game was a complete success, she has all the makings of a star!”
“Run The Night” is strapped with shimmering synths, rattling beats, and dancefloor-ready production by ill Factor (Gwen Stefani, Sia, Kygo, Jessie J). Since her inclusion in Just Dance 2017, Gigi Rowe has seen an outpour of support. From the “Run The Night” ST4RBUCK remix which has garnered over 250,000 streams and counting, to features on the Just Dance YouTube and countless fan videos, the track continues to make an international impact.
In October 2017, Gigi released "Got That", a track produced by long-time collaborator ill Factor (Sia, Kygo, Gwen Stefani), which was selected to feature in Ubisoft’s massive global video game franchise Just Dance 2018 . The track comes off her newest Stardust Motel EP, a four-track collection that draws inspiration from the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan / Miami Sound Machine and Shalamar, and which is highlighted by buzzing synths, hypnotic beats, and Gigi’s captivating vocals.
Following a packed performance at Rock In Rio’s Game XP and an interview featured on the #1 Brazilian TV channel, Gigi continues to turn heads on the global scale. She comments, “It's extraordinary to see something from your imagination become reality. It's my second year being featured on Just Dance. The game represents the same things that I do. It's positive, fun, playful and celebrates being whoever you are and owning it. I've seen firsthand how Just Dance brings out the best in people. Not long ago, even the idea of Gigi Rowe, a supernatural pop singer with a fantastical back story, was something that existed only as a dream in my mind. To see this all brought to life through my "Got That" video and the collaboration with Just Dance is truly amazing.”
