New York-based actress / musician Kat Cunning has shared a new single - “Make U Say”. Blending pop, soul, and Baroque arrangements, the track further expands her repertoire, building from a haunting piano ballad to an anthemic, ethereal peak. About the track, Kat comments:

"’Make U Say’ is inspired by a long history of sexting. It's an erotic poem meant to capture the all-consuming nature of new love, and the complexities of power in sex and life. I was very lucky to write it in London with Martin Terefe who helped bring those textures to life. At its heart, it's a call to freedom, expression, acknowledgement and romance.”

A rising voice on the NYC arts scene, Kat Cunning draws from her study of dance as well as her time on stage as a Broadway actress (Dangerous Liaisons, Cirque Du Soleil's Paramour, Sleep No More). After recently earning a recurring role on HBO (details to come) and wrapping up a sold-out national tour with acclaimed singer-songwriter LP, she is preparing for a number of musical releases in the coming months.

Kat released her stunning debut singles “Baby” and “Wild Poppies” in 2017 which garnered over 200,000 streams, charted on HypeMachine’s Top 20, and tipped BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac to dub her a “New Name To Watch In 2018.” She recently performed live for NYLON, Paste Magazine, and as the only live component in Refinery 29's Fashion Week exhibit in collaboration with artist Juno Calypso.
