Discovered by Peter Gabriel in the mid-1990s and signed as the first North American artist to the legendary Real World Records roster, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, poet, and painter Joseph Arthur has spent nearly three decades defying musical classification.

Renowned for his raw, emotionally gripping folk-rock and his pioneering, masterful live-looping performances, Joseph has released close to 30 critically acclaimed albums and EPs. His timeless songwriting has earned praise and covers from icons like Michael Stipe (R.E.M.), Chris Martin (Coldplay), and Lou Reed. Beyond his solo catalog, he is a co-founder of the indie-supergroups Fistful of Mercy (with Ben Harper and Dhani Harrison) and RNDM (with Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament).
